A message can be repeated by pressing 'Recurrence'. Select the 'Recur Period' you prefer, then press 'Save' – or 'Cancel', if you've made an error. You will go back to the 'New Message' screen either way; if you've successfully selected a 'Recurrence Period', it will show on the 'Recurrence' line within the 'New Message'.

Press 'Message' to begin writing! Use the cursor to amend text if desired, then press either 'Save' or 'Cancel'. Both options will return you to the 'New Message' screen; if you entered a message you'll see the first few words here.

You can also select a message from among five template options: 'Birthday', 'Anniversary', 'Rent', 'Appointment' and 'Congratulations'. Other than the 'Appointment' option, these all have exactly the same input: first, choose 'Templates'...

Then, as before, choose a date on which to send a message (hit 'Send Date' and move the turn wheel). Press 'Save' or – if you've made a mistake – Cancel. Both of these options take you back to the 'New Message' screen; if you selected a date, it'll now be showing on the 'Send Date' line.

Next, enter a time to send the message by pressing 'Send Time' and turning the wheel. Again, press 'Save', if you're happy, or 'Cancel' – both options take you back to the 'New Message' screen. Your selected time should now show in the 'Send Time' line.

To enter a recipient; press 'Recipients', hit the book symbol and choose a name from your contacts; you can edit and delete these if you make an error! Press 'Save' if you're happy, or 'Cancel' to return. Both selections take you to the 'New Message' screen – selected names will now be seen within the template message.

Appointment Templates are completed in the same way, with two additional fields: 'Appointment Date' and 'Appointment Time'. To change either, select the field, then use the turn wheel to choose a desired date and time.

The message field should now show a template message. You can amend or leave this as desired. To view the template message, select 'Preview Message'. This will show you how your message will look upon receipt. Selected contacts will be showing within the preview screen; press 'Close Preview' to return to the template message screen.

Press 'Message' to amend your message and use the cursor to alter erroneous text. Then press either 'Save' or 'Cancel'; both of these options will return you to 'New Message' screen; if you entered a message you'll see the first few words here.

Once all fields are complete, you can see how your message will look upon receipt by selecting 'Preview Message'. To return to the template message screen, press 'Close Preview'.

Any message can be made to repeat by pressing 'Recurrence'. The 'Recur Period' is pre-set to 'Every Year' for Birthdays and Anniversaries; 'Every Month' for Rent and 'None' for Appointment and Congratulations. These can be changed within the template by selecting the 'Recur Period' you prefer, then pressing 'Save'. If you make an error, though, press 'Cancel'. You'll go back to the 'New Message' screen either way; if you've successfully selected a Recurrence Period, it will show on the 'Recurrence line' but if you've made no change, the pre-set option will still show.

Once you're happy with your choices, press 'Save Message'. The words 'Message created. Your message has been sent to the Outbox' will appear. Press the 'OK' bar to accept – you'll then be taken back to the message home page.

Using the Import Option:

To schedule one event that exists in your calendar, select 'New' from the Main Menu, then choose 'Import Event'. This automatically imports all events within your iPhone Calendar. Pick the event you wish to use; Text In Time will then take you directly to a message screen where you can complete or amend the necessary fields in the same way as described for Blank and Template messages.

If you wish to use all events listed within your iPhone Calendar, select 'New' from the Main Menu, then choose 'Import Calendar'. You'll have the option to import either just 'Birthdays' or 'Calendar', which will import all events in the iPhone Calendar. If you choose Birthdays, the message 'Do you want to import the calendar: Birthdays' will appear. Press 'Yes': the screen will say 'Importing 'Birthdays' Please Wait'. Alternatively, you can press 'No' to cancel.

Similarly, when you pick 'Calendar' the words 'Do you want to import the calendar: Calendar' will come up. If you press 'Yes': the screen will say 'Importing 'Calendar' Please Wait'; if you select 'No' it'll cancel and return to the 'Import screen'.

In the case of both calendar and individual imports, the words 'Import Completed' will soon appear and you'll find imported events in your outbox. Click 'OK' to return to the 'Import page' or, if you'd like to amend or delete an imported item, select it within the Outbox.

To View, Amend or Delete scheduled messages:

From the Main Menu choose 'Outbox'. You'll see all scheduled messages.

If you want to delete a message, use the back swipe motion over the appropriate message to produce the 'Delete' prompt, or use the Delete option from the Outbox Screen. If this is selected, the words 'Delete items...' will appear, followed by the options 'Delete All Items' and 'Delete Individual Item'. Selecting 'Delete All Items' prompts the message 'Confirm deletion. Are you sure you want to delete all messages?'. This step cannot be undone, so press 'Yes' only if you're sure you want to delete all items, otherwise press 'No' to return to the 'Outbox Screen'. Select 'Delete Individual Item' to choose the items you wish to delete one at a time.

To amend a message in your outbox, first select the appropriate message. This will take you into the 'View Message' screen. Select the field you wish to amend, changing details as you would with a new message. Once amendments have been made, select 'Save'. The words 'Saved. Changes to this message have been saved' will appear. Select 'OK' to confirm changes. To return to your Outbox, select the Outbox icon from the View Message screen.

To View and Delete Sent Messages:

From the Main Menu, select 'Sent' – this will show you all sent messages. Use the back swipe motion over the appropriate message to produce the ''Delete' prompt, or use the 'Delete option' from the 'Sent Screen'. If this is selected, the words 'Delete items...' will appear along with two options: 'Delete All Items' or 'Delete Individual Item'.

Selecting 'Delete All Items' will prompt the message 'Confirm deletion. Are you sure you want to delete all messages?'. As this step cannot be undone, be sure that's what you want to do before you press 'Yes'. Alternatively, select 'No' to go back to the 'Sent Screen'. You may also delete items one at a time by choosing 'Delete Individual Item' and selecting the message you'd like to delete. You can view any message you've sent, along with relevant details, simply by selecting it! Messages can also be forwarded by choosing this option; you'll be taken into the message so that you can amend it, if desired, before saving it to the Outbox.
